NRA Basic Pistol Safety Course

At Valley Firearms, we take personal security very seriously. We have over 15 years experience teaching people about self defense and self preservation. We offer the most complete and comprehensive pistol class in the area. This course is required in Connecticut and many other states as a prerequisite to purchasing a handgun, or applying for a concealed carry permit.

Topics covered include: basic knowledge and nomenclature of handguns and ammunition including the safe handling procedures of both, proper shooting techniques and stances, handgun storage and childproofing, choosing the proper handgun and ammunition, and more. A live firing session with revolvers and semi-automatic handguns is included.  

This course starts at 9:00 SHARP and is one day long, the fee is $150.00. All materials, including lunch, are provided.
