Affiliate Disclosure

Valley Firearms makes money from affiliate commissions when readers click a retailer link and buy. Here's exactly how that works and the firewalls we keep between the revenue side and the editorial side.

The short version

When you click a retailer link on Valley Firearms and complete a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. The retailer pays us out of their margin: your price is the same whether you come through us, Google, or type the URL directly.

How affiliate links affect our content

They don't. Editorial decisions, including reviews, "best of" rankings, and Deal Scores, are made independently of commission rates. A retailer that pays us 2% can still outrank one that pays us 10% if their price is lower or their service is better. A product that earns us nothing can still be our top pick in its category.

In practice that means:

Sponsored content

We do not currently publish sponsored reviews, sponsored "best of" lists, or native advertising disguised as editorial. If we ever do, it will be labeled "Sponsored" at the top of the page in the same font size as the headline.

Price data

Prices on Valley Firearms are refreshed throughout the day but can still go stale between refreshes, particularly on high-velocity deals. The retailer's checkout page is always the source of truth: verify before you buy. If we display a stale price, please email editors [at] valleyfirearms.com and we'll fix it.
